Inflation
Rents and home prices in Northern Virginia are unaffordable for most. My opponent has never seen a spending bill or business regulation he didn't like. He has been happy to feed Biden's money printer and champion the war on U.S. energy production. Reckless spending, which my opponent supports, has directly caused the pain at the pump and dread at the grocery store that millions of Americans are feeling every day. Putting food on the table, getting to work, cooling and heating our homes, and everything else is becoming unaffordable because of my opponent's policies. It's time for a new direction.

Public Safety
Public safety is a core responsibility of government, and my opponent is actively undermining law enforcement, and his policies embolden criminals. His approach will turn Northern Virginia into Washington, D.C. As your Congressman, I will DEFEND the police, not DEFUND them. I will ensure that the police are respected and supported by their elected officials. To ensure we keep our communities safe, we must also hold accountable these soft-on-crime district attorneys who keep refusing to prosecute criminals. As your Congressman, I will demand that state and local officials hold local District Attorneys, like Steve Descano, responsible for their inaction.

Education
As your Congressman, I'll make improving schools here at home and across America a top priority. Parental Choice is a very important issue for me. Parents have a fundamental right to send their kids to a school that suits their needs and protects their values, not undermine them. Unlike my opponent, I will not bend to the will of the teacher's union. I will hold our public school officials accountable, and we will once again place the needs of children ahead of partisan politics. With a son in a local high school, I promise that you will see me fighting for our children at the local school board meetings and on the floor of the U.S. Congress.

Immigration Reform
The United States welcomes more than a million legal immigrants into the American family each year – far more than any other country in the world. We are a generous and welcoming nation, but those who come here must follow our laws, and our elected leaders must enforce those laws and secure our borders. We don't have a country if we don't have a border. Unlike my opponent, I will support a firm border policy that protects Americans and our national security. Biden and my opponent reinstated "catch and release" and ended "Remain in Mexico," which has resulted in an untold number of terrorists and drug traffickers being released into our country, many of whom will never show up for court dates and live here illegally. As your Congressman, I will fight for border security, support our Border Patrol, and work with Republicans and Democrats to solve this crisis and improve our immigration system.

Domestic Energy Policy
There is a direct line between the Biden administration's assault on domestic oil and gas production and the rising price of fuel to fill our cars, gas, and electricity to heat or cool our homes and the rising cost of every consumer product. America must increase the cultivation of available domestic energy sources while encouraging innovation in the energy sector to create options for cleaner energy but still bring down costs for working families.

Social Security & Medicare
Our top goal should be to preserve Social Security and Medicare and keep our promise to seniors by providing them the benefits they paid for and earned. Right now, reckless spending on other things is putting these programs at risk, while inflation today hurts seniors by reducing their purchasing power on fixed benefits. We must also encourage Americans to prepare for retirement and build wealth by other means during their working years so they can thrive in their golden years. As of now, the Social Security Trust Fund (SSTF) will not be able to meet payment obligations by the year 2034 if things don't change. Congress must ensure that these benefits are available for those who have earned them and built them into their retirement plans. As your Congressman, I'll fight to keep that promise. I will also fight for sound economic policies that promote job and wage growth. Since SSTF funding comes from wage taxes, more jobs and higher wages mean more money for the program. As a former Social Security Administrative Law Judge, you can count on me to protect you.

Pandemic Lockdown
Lockdowns, restrictions, and vaccine mandates during the Covid-19 pandemic were an unprecedented infringement on personal liberty and brought America's best economy in half a century to a grinding halt. They devastated small businesses and threw millions of Americans out of work in the name of "safety," and refused to allow Americans to assess and confront risk in the manner they chose. Never again. My opponent supported lockdowns and vaccine mandates that destroyed businesses and forced many Northern Virginians who serve in the military or work for the federal government to choose between their livelihood and medical freedom. Small businesses lost revenue while simultaneously being required to invest in arbitrary mitigation measures that likely had little effect on the spread of Covid-19.

Health Care
The cost of health care in America has been skyrocketing for years. Our number one goal should be to lower costs for patients while encouraging innovative new cures and treatments for diseases. America has been the world's top innovator and on the cutting-edge of medical technology, and it's key that health care policy makes that a priority.

Pro-Life
The Supreme Court of the United States rightfully returned abortion policy to the states and to the people, and it will now be up to Virginia voters and their elected leaders to debate the future of abortion in the Commonwealth. I am pro-life, and believe that unborn children are human beings with a right to life. As your Congressman, I will support policies that are pro-life and support women who are facing unplanned pregnancies and the challenge that poses.
